The Perfect Crime - Poem by daniel schaffert

I wish i had the chance to say I love you one last time
It seemed as if God had commited the perfect crime
There were no suspects and surely not a motive
Still cant find a reason why you three couldnt live

I know you always had fun but it seems you hadnt lived your whole life
Like owning your first house or even having a wife
I feel we had so many memories left that we could of shared
And so many more nights we couldnt remember but we really never cared

The last night i seen you all in the hot tub seemed like just the other day
Now its already been a year and a half since that awful month of may
Never did I think that I wouldnt have the chance to see you one more time
But it seemed as if God had committed the perfect crime...
