The Piano Lesson Poem by L MILTON HANKINS

The Piano Lesson

Leaping across the leger in groups of four
Triadic eighth notes danced while half notes slow,
Take their time beneath, just resting in the score
Seldom interrupting the lyrical flow.
Comes an occasional ornamental turn
In Chopin's inimitable style, a test,
For all intermediate students to learn
Next, because of this prickly teacher's request.
