The Picture Poem by Hazelruth Winters

The Picture

There's a picture hanging on my wall
It's of the Lord above
I wonder if He looks like that
As He sends His special love
I wonder what Jesus really looks like
As I set here all alone
I've never really seen Him
Though He lives within my home
I know He's kind and forgiving
For the Bible tells me so
I feel His prescence every day
He is alive and well I know
It's as though He is here with me
As I go to God in Prayer
I feel His holy presence
And know that He is there
Someday I'll meet Him face to face
Then I'll really see
I guess I'll look for nail scarred hands
But His love will be the key
I just know I'll recognize Him
Because we meet each day
We walk together on life's path
along the narrow way
