i wanna be good for you, sweet brain
so they can taste you and say, yum
and pick you out in little spoonfuls
and down you with thots like rum.
i want you to be clean and untarnished without oil and grease that sticks
i scrub you out singing curses and
calling the rest o' the world annoying pricks.
you're not very delicious right now
you're dusty and you reek
of self harm and autophagy
and i wonder what detergent you seek.
and i wonder if all my decisions were wrong if i made you that way
and if im a terrible, terrible mistress,
who sits and cleans all day;
but you're still not shiny or spotless
i pick your disease out of my face
put my hands up into my brain
and try to shove you back into place.
the reflection in the mirror changes
and an ugly hag looks back at me
and you glitter, clean, like gold, as new
and i am finally free.
