The Piercer Poem by Aygun Cengiz

The Piercer

Her moonlight ripped open my sunburn
Merciless was she, with red eyes she seized me
I did not tremble, naught did I do in return
I embraced the coldness with never ending glee.
The north and the east wept for me, all in vain
I took her eyes as a token of my vanity.
My sight left me, to ease my voluntary pain
Then I sank on my knees, loosing my sanity
Ah! My sunburn was nothing but a petty scar

My muse flew towards me, nested on my ears
There she lured my soul, pointed me to my star
The crying grew louder! Pierced me like spears
Anon I heard her voice, fading away slowly
She was sobbing, moaning! It was for me and for me only.
