The Place That Calls To You Poem by Casey Jarrell

The Place That Calls To You

My dream is for the two of us to keep walking together.
You would would fall along the way, yet even now your voice deep inside still rings in my heart.

I want to be honest but I can't.
There are still a lot of things I want to talk about with you.
Your shoulders shake as you're still quick to cry.
I need to screaming at myself in my head.

I want to be a little bird that's flying in wind.
I want to be free as a cloud passing overhead.
You went out into the world searching for a way to rescue me.

"So pretty" you say with a smile on your face.
I only want to strongly protect you.
But even if I'm hurt, I'll always love you.
I want to see you again.

The day we made a promise,
we both admired the scenery.
Don't ever drop your petals.
I learned to laugh along with you.

I wanted to go into the world with you
and shed the same tears
and smell the flowers.
Only you accepted me for who I was.
In our eyes an assortment of colors bloom.
I will find you!

Over and over, at the place that I promised you,
I'm waiting for your hand!

I want to be a little bird that's flying in the wind.
I want to be free as a cloud passing overhead.
You went out into the world searching for a way to rescue me.

"So pretty" you say with a smile on your face.
I only want to strongly protect you.
But even if I'm hurt, I'll always love you.
I want to see you again.
I want to see you again.
I want to see you again.
