The Power Of A Woman Poem by Anashree Nash

The Power Of A Woman

THE POWER OF A WOMAN

I am not a princess who
Needs saving,

Do not confuse me with
Cinderella or Sleeping Beauty,

I can adapt myself
To face any situation.

When I am helpless I am as
Courageous as Goddess Shakthi,

When I'm lost and confused
I am as wise as goddess Saraswati,

In times of despair I am as
prosperous as Goddess Luxmi,

If I am pushed in a corner I am as powerful as Goddess Durga,

And if anybody is ruthless to me or those that I love I can be as
fierce as Goddess Kali,

Should I be needed to console a heart I am as gentle as mother Mary.

I am nothing less than a goddess.

Life is not a fairytale.

But in the real world
I am the Queen.
