The Pretty Maiden Poem by Tommy Raymond

The Pretty Maiden

A pretty maiden came along,
Singing all the way,
Very strong,
And very tall,
And singing all the way, yea!

I met her long ago,
And she enchanted me,
With her white dress like snow,
She said with glee,
Would you go out with me?

She went away and never came back,
She was lost at sea.
She was smacked,
And tracked
But still lost at sea.

I loathe that day,
When she disappeared.
Damn that day,
When she strayed away.

I will always remember that damned day,
When she strayed away.
