The Price Of Admission Poem by Nokutenda Mupamombe

The Price Of Admission

Careful not to speak too much of your mind
Heresy is something they are looking to find
Your friends become treacherous
And the family dangerous

Genius is tragic, but these are just levels
The price of admission
The reason you accepted the mission
To play the game and maintain vision

How do you finish and beat the game?
You play the fool and hide the flame
In their reality they'll call you cool
Thats the goal of knowing much really
The cyclical nature of life is silly

But envy not, genius is chilly

Careful not to speak too much of your mind
Heresy they always find
They'll call you mad for just being kind

A mastered genius takes what he gets
From promises to threats
They work the same, feeding the Eternal flame
Proving it is why you came

The Price Of Admission
