The Promise Poem by Sheryl Barison

The Promise

I am so blessed for having your word:
A lifetime promised that nothing could compare in this world.
I am so honor and proud,
For deciding not to hide your love for me but to declared clearly and loud.

The promised you gave when we got started,
Is to die for me so I may live.
In times of necessity you wouldn't seek for no glory but to give instead.
And I must do the same for you even if what it takes.

Time pass and we become friends.
Laughter, tears and secret we shared; insanity, trouble we created,
Solve it together, none of us left.
You are my shoulder to cry on every time I need.

Then at the end we fall.
You've given me a promised that made me whole.
You and me against them all;
A love to last that is worth fighting for.
