The Promise Of Togetherness Poem by tony ndesh

The Promise Of Togetherness

we were crossing fingers
clapping hands
and remained still for their response
such issues are too hard to speak of
and if we did
we were expectant of nothing less harsh
and quiet wasn't the plan
we had to show love with a limit
and no bare skull on it.
