The Proposal(Her) Poem by Navneet Singh Rawat

He was the reason she smiled again,
Started living her life again,
All the darkness was now gone,
His speech sounded like a song.

She had no choice but to do it all,
Make him go through the pain alone,
For if it wasn't for the pain,
He wouldn't reach his goal alone.

All the loneliness he went through,
Less that he knew she was suffering too,
Hoping for the best to come along,
They both spent their time alone.

Finally did the dawn arrive,
Shining brightness in their lives,
There was him, on his knees,
Living up to the belief.

She was stunned at the sight,
There was glimmer all over her face,
This was when she felt her breath,
For the first time in 7 years.
