The light in my eyes
The fear in my soul
The strength in my bones
All shrieked their final roar
Crippled, broken and weak
Were the flowers in my famished tree
How festive was my endless mourn!
So bright but yet so torn
Oh! But would grace ever suffice,
Would the light in me ever shine,
Were the droplets of cologne mixed in my own rice grains,
Meant to drug my pretty mistakes
Could the corals of my shallow sea,
Remind me of what it once felt to be so in need
Or could the violets in my garden
Show me what it was to be free
Draping over my golden crown,
Was the white cashmere coat rarely worn
Corrupted with stains of red
And in my eyes the fragments of my broken throne
Loved her like I did my own pearls
Brushed her like I did my fur
Now I cry as I drown in my own silk
With broken peices of China on my demoralized linoleum
