The Quest For Lord Poem by Fatima Zehra

The Quest For Lord

I embarked on a journey with ropes of hope griped so tight
Straight was the path but the quest was hard
The quest was a thirst a deserted man suffers from
Like a failed aspiration of finding aqua on an unfriendly land
I vowed to myself to carry on the quest in the dreadful barren lands
Where sorrows, woes were my companions, who smothered me in their deceitful traps
But the desire of quest was so profound that I kept on going
You might be thinking what and for whom I was in pursuit of
It's the honest-to-goodness, righteous and pure heart's love
An intense love to guide the lost soul to his Good LORD
Whole the way was full of dark, dark were the paths so were the hearts
Untrue feelings stabbed right in my little tender heart
Trust was shattered, hopes killed
The desire I had embraced found its Grave
Tears rolled down my face as I was a victim of deception
All the hearts were full of dirt and evil the king, had the rule
The wounds were so deep that they took time to heal
Something then again reminded me of the vow
Probably it was the call from my Inner soul
Somehow I escaped the tyranny of evil
Began to lurk here and there
All of sudden a blissful soul blazoned with downcast eyes
I could feel the oppressive stillness of air
The aura of its glory had a Peace
When asked upon it reacted in a sense of accountability
"God reside not in an empty vessel for it makes only noise
But a vessel fully virtuous that is what his humble abode.
