The Quietest Courage Poem by Savva Emanon

The Quietest Courage

Not every battle announces itself.

Some are fought behind gentle smiles,
steady voices,
and eyes that have learned
to hide their rain.

There are hearts among us
carrying invisible mountains,
yet still they offer kindness,
still they make room for another's pain,
and still they rise each morning
with hope tucked quietly beneath their ribs.

Do not mistake their silence
for the absence of struggle.
Some souls have simply discovered
that courage does not always roar.

Sometimes it is the soft decision
to keep loving
when life has been unkind.
To keep believing
when disappointment has lingered.

To keep smiling
not because everything is perfect,
but because they refuse
to let hardship have the final word.

If you meet such a heart,
be gentle.

For behind its quiet strength
is a story that has been written
with tears no one has seen,
prayers no one has heard,
and victories no one applauded.

Yet still,
it chooses love.
And perhaps,
that is the strongest heart of all.
