The Race Poem by Matt Burgett

The Race

Out in front I was on top
And It seemed that I would never stop

Until I won and got my prize
Up to the stars I planed to rise

But something happened something bad
It caused a glitch to loose speed I had

And running from my top speed
I slowly slipped out from the lead

As I was passed by many more
I could not seem to open the door

To give a boost to help my pace
It looks as if I will loose this race

And once again for the last time
This will be the last time I will try

Because if I loose this race then I
Will loose the will to live or die.
