The Race Of The Sky Poem by Drew Fisher

The Race Of The Sky

The dark clouds gather round to watch the race begin.
The rain comes out to show the path to the racers once again.

The lightning comes down in a streak of light
Once again it won the race.

The Thunder roars in anger for it has never won.
It demands a rematch and once again lightning won.

Now the lighting hits twice showing its speed
As the thunder roars twice in frustration.

They try once again and hit right by me
A tie for once, yet still.

No matter how often it loses
The thunder will try to outrace
The undefeated lightning.
