I drive through the dip and hit turn not every time but I feel the burn
Tonight is one of those nights
Through misted glass I barely see lights
I continue up the road, the lightening illuminating
The loose gravel crunching
Forever bringing me closer to my past
The loose ends I fear not to cast
In this town, this dust bowl and hole
I feel we stagnate and bind our soul
Though murky pictures can so clear be
I doubt I'll ever be set free
For the moment, the rain drives the pain far from here
But in the darkness, you are the light my dear
