The Rain Poem by Tessa Monaghan

The Rain

I watch the rain fall
as it matches my mood.
ill sit alone
listening
to the rain pour down
wishing i was just standing in it.
Make it easier to cry
express how i'm feeling.

the rain.
my mood
i'll stand,
let my make up run.
Wonder,
where did i go wrong?
i stand there alone,
thinking of you,
crying,
wishing you where here.
Then i wouldnt need to cry.
I would have
everything i need
to be happy.
only if your here
with me.

Kissing in the rain
part of a wish.
but
because of my stupidity
crying in the rain
is reality.

The rain,
sad,
yet peaceful,
A pattern,
yet completely random
the rain
ill stand still
as if frozen.
staring at the ground
alone i stand.

I feel the rain
hit me,
then
the ice cold wind,
lashes
forces the rain
into me with greater force.
Pains
Sharp pains
needles
knives
the pain
unbearable,
the pain
deeper then skin
started to feel it
Deep inside
before that rain hit.

i stand alone
wanting you
wishing
hopeing
you were with me.
Then these sharp pains
will turn into
something sweeter
sparks
sparks off the kiss
the pain
becomes bearable
Amazing
what your presence
can do.
but then.
i blink.
I'm alone
I'm in the rain,
tears falling
in sync with the rain
it was all a dream.
