The leaves open up
They can feel
The light laughter
Of the early breeze
The first few drops
Lay damp on the ground
Ever so silently
Without a sound
No person
Can hush up the rain
Falling lightly
Dripping into the drain
Slowly,
As the sky clears up
I see the sun
And a rainbow way up
The mystery is solved
Though no one will know
When the rain comes again,
Here we go.
