The Reason

The Reason

It's Christmas time again.
Grandma put her lapel pin on.
Jesus is the reason for the season.
Ask grandma what does it mean.
This is what she had to say.

Sit down on my knee son.
Jesus is the king born for me and you.
Drink up your tea son.
She told me of Joseph and Mary.
And no room in the inn.
Wise men who came from afar.
To witness the birth of a King.
The star that led shepherds.
To the babe in the manger.
As a man he even calmed the angry sea son
That's why Jesus is.
The reason for the season.

Eternal life is free son.
You don't have to pay no fee son.
Get down on your knee son.
Let's worship the king.
Now do you see son.
Jesus is the reason for the season.

Thanks to grandma now I Know.
Why Jesus is the reason for the season.

I got to go get my keys son.
With a smile on my face.
I wave goodbye to grandma.
As she drives away.
In her little red Nissan.
With a sticker in the back.
Jesus is the reason for the season.
