The Resurrection Poem by Lloyd Savage

The Resurrection

Summon all celestial grace
Unto thy kingdom's throne,
And bring immortals unto their place
From wherever they be gone.
Lift up the trumpet and make the call
That immortals await to hear,
For sweet the melody of Thee
That summons these so near.
Revive the lives of ancients past
Who await within the dust
To receive all Thou hast
Of Thee to give to us.

Lift up the bow of shining glory
And part now Thy clouds of grace.
Show us here Thy coming story
So revealed within Thy face.
Yea, give us now Thy due reward
Of Thy crowns best ornamented grace,
And lead us onward ever forward
Unto our dwelling place.
Then there allow us in graceful reign
One moment Thou alone can send
As we receive Thy spirit's calling
A new life to begin.
So when we arise unto Thy calling
With all glories at their crest,
We shall surely share Thy story
And worship Thee in humbleness!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I wrote this at one sitting and as usual I give all glory to my divine poet upstairs for what I write.
