The Reunion Poem by Elizabeth Johnson

The Reunion

Rating: 3.0

All is calm on this
Beautiful
Clear night before the rising
Dawn's light
Endless it seems before that
First bright
Glimmer on the
Horizon
In this she stands
Just as calm as she waits for the
Kind heart whom she
Longs to
Meet again
No one else but him
'Oh,
Please let him get here soon', she
Quietly whispers to the
Ravens in the nearby trees,
Suddenly, in the
Tangles of the
Undergrowth, she sees a
Vague shadow of someone
Watching her, as she looks closer, she
X-claims, 'It IS
You! ', with
Zeal and surprise as he steps from the shadows
