The Rhyme - Poem by Ayana makonnen
One day I sat down and decided to write a rhyme
I decided it was time
Time to free my mind, body, and soul
Surely this was no ordinary rhyme
Because my tone and words had to be genuine
Kind and understanding
Delivered in such a manner that was understood with awe and appreciation
Long over-due admiration
Jealousy not even a question
But only a diverse lesson
One that would take time
One day as I sat down to write this unordinary rhyme.
