The Ring Poem by Kate Fuelleman

The Ring

Hi sweetheart, it's been a while
Since the last time I seen you smile

Where have you been all this time?
Out and about, fighting crime?

I missed having you here with me
But now you're here, I'm as happy as can be

I'm sorry I've been away all these years
It's been a life full of tears

I went to a casino to get enough money
So I could get you a wedding ring, honey

But I then got addicted and lost everything
And I couldn't come back, it was too embarrassing

I eventually got enough money to pay off debt
You'll never guess what I was able to get...

Babe, I love you, can't you see
Now I ask, will you marry me?

Oh my gosh, it's too good to be true...
Yes darling, I will marry you

So they were together forever 'til the day they died
Never apart, always by each others side
