- THE RIVER'S WANE-
This silvery flow at end of day
Decries a river long,
And summer waifs a fragrant way
With this majestic song.
These placid waters silvery scene,
Mine eyes, do pleasure give,
And joy of quiet so serene
Does in my heart now live.
These flowing waters winding around
Each harbor safely tucked again
To keep the boats so safe and sound
As we will see the River's wane.
But now the quiet gentle lull
Will my heart here renew
Again this gentle lulling call
As daylight says ado! ! ! ! ! !
