i took a step out to the edge of that great white bird
without thinking, my hand went toward

This piece is a tribute to Rimsky-Korsakov and the Marquis of Queensbury, may he rest in peace. It should be read with a 'pecking' inflection, but not excessively so, lest the result become a sort of absurd melodrama more appropriate for cabaret entertainment than legitimate art.
