Each one of us has a role to perform,
that in one way or another affects
your life and my life, or someone around.
A role to endure whatever it takes.
Each one of us has a role to perform,
a task to help others who are in need,
a task to protect those who were oppressed.
For that’s how we might have been created.
Each one of us has a role to perform,
gives love but never gets loved in return,
gives his life for others but no one cares.
For that’s the fate we have since we were born.
Each one of us has a role to perform,
a parent who cares but misunderstood,
a child who needs care but was abandoned.
To survive, we fight as much as we could.
Each one of us has a role to perform,
someone who follows and someone who leads,
one who makes the rule or someone who breaks.
For life is likened to good and bad weeds.
Life on Earth is a role to take and do,
although we known not what’s at stake beyond.
For when we were assigned to take our role,
how to use it, we’re given a freehand.
