RIC S. BASTASA

The Runners Of Time - Poem by RIC S. BASTASA

the fact is
you are short of the hours
but you keep running just the same
hoping to
be with it shoulder to shoulder

the days are Olympiads
they zoom out

you give up
sit on the grass and let
the sun
burn you down

those that pass by you
too
are caught red-handed by
all the fears
