The Sadness Of The Mind. Poem by Subhadip Bhattacharya

The Sadness Of The Mind.

The unnecessary but frequent behavior of ours
Called moving. We drive,
We walk, we take a stroll by the park,
We run, we jog.... etc etc.
Sometimes we get back satisfied
Sometimes unsatisfied.
But the quest of moving continues.

It's difficult to say or express in words
As to what is necessary,
When the first idea of moving is unnoticed.
A person said he wanted to be happy.
Just happy sitting.
Another person expressed that he wanted to
Cling by the wall. Or the window.

This 3 D world of ours
Slowly seems to bore us,
Looking up or straight or left or right.
......
I just want to change directions.
Or just take rest.
To go nowhere.
I just feel so bad,
About all of this nonsense,
And I don't know why.
But I feel bad. Just sad.

Then there's the sun. Traveling all day...
The moon, the stars traveling all night.
As if they have nothing else to do.
Although I am very fond of traveling bags.
And bag packs and suitcases.
It's upsetting and a cherished feeling, both
At the same time.
Upset, sad and
I don't want to talk...about..
The mind..
Miraculously races on...and on,
Until it comes to a standstill...
And I love it.
