The Saga Continues Poem by Joshua Hillard

The Saga Continues

So here it goes, the saga continues,
The same old pain, just different venues,
No matter the shop, it's the same old purchase,
Bringing these depths up to the surface,

My conscience rings with the appropriate plan,
Only to fold once I show my hand,
Driven in the center, I accept their torment,
But as it boils, I no longer lay dormant,

My mind fills with rage as I clench my fist,
My tongue flares when I used to watch my lips,
How can I continue to paint the same picture again,
This time of a volcano waiting on when,

When will I finally succeed in my solitude?
I've been graded before, but I wonder if reviewed,
Judged and belittled, for me that is nothing new,
So I feel as you feel, with that, good for you,

Don't dare to step in a place where you aren't permitted,
You'll never be acquitted; with these charges come conviction,
The time will come when all that's valued is time,
And in the end maybe you'll understand mine,

The choices coming up will determine this eruption,
Will I walk away unharmed, or in utter destruction?
Once again the saga flips to another page,
As the beast lies away, slowly in his cage.
