I’m feeling very lonely now
Amidst my spanse of friends
All of whom have flung their arms,
Embracing flashy trends.
Adventure beckons from afar
Attracting more than men.
The ties that closely so entwine
Are stretched to point of rend.
Yet through the mist of years endured
The sage and fool alike
Agree on one important point:
Look back before you hike.
