The Saving Grace Of Light Data Poem by Aaron Zhong

The Saving Grace Of Light Data

Such exuberance is light,
It's effervescent glow,
Such power it holds,
It's radiance shows.
We have always look to it
As hope and beauty
Of goodness and of purity,
That it stands out against darkness
And the evil and uncertainty that holds.
It seems rather interesting
That in this time of woe
We turn to the light in need
For it shines through with hope
And sends to others the understanding
The knowledge that we must communicate
And give to them information
So crucial to our survival.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Since the inception of using light to replace traditional electromagnetic waves to transfer information wirelessly through large distances, humanity has become intrenched with the technology as a way of communication. However, in the last Great War which has lasted decades, the sky is covered in darkness from nuclear and chemical warfare. Light, when it is seen, is often seen as the saving grace for any which faction for communicating between the wastelands.
