The Scary Spot - Poem by Judy Kennedy
As I sat dreaming under a tree
I saw a dark spot upon my knee I thought, oh dear, what can that be?
A bug, spider, or a busy bee? It was small, it was moving, this spot on my knee?
Did it know I was scared? Was it afraid of me? Would it bite or sting while on my knee?
Or would it just sit and stare at me? The small dark spot upon my knee
Moves again, and now I see What was moving on my knee, was just a shadow
From a leaf on the tree And I was so scared, oh how silly can I be?
