The Sea - Poem by Thomas Ruth

Seas swell upon themselves
then rush to gain the rocks
and with a mighty heave
hurl themselves with all their speed
to crash and roar with tempest rage,
as they become the spray
that towers in the air
and grasps the rainbow's colors tight
in their frantic arms;
until
exhausted
retreat to distant shores
to soothe their tired heat
so they
may come again.
