The Sea And You Poem by Meng Lim Dr

The Sea And You

The Sea and You

You can't yet set sail
your boat is not ready
it knows its proper time
it will not hurry-

it shall ask you:
do you know your journey?
There are millions
of miles in the sea.

Have you searched yourself
are you in every certainty?
Once your hands are on the oars
you will no longer be free

as the dice has been cast
destiny will show no mercy
there's no turning back
even if you were to pray most fervently.
