The Seasons Poem by GORDON BUTCHERS

The Seasons

The cold winter wind bites,
Herolding the start of shorter days
And longer nights.

Until warmer days arrive
As winter goes,
And spring flowers appear
Through the melting snows.

The lengthaning days
Sends birds into song,
With summer days
So warm and long.

Autumn leaves fall
The year is old
And takes us back
To winters cold.
