The Second Gargoyle Poem by RIC BASTASA

The Second Gargoyle

You were at the window
When I left you
In anger

I looked back
Someone projected
From the gutter
Of that same
Stinking building

Throwing a spout of rain
from a
Mouth not
Really grotesque
But it was more
than an animal,

no doubt
it was you.
