I opened the doors, apparently new.
Dark red with very bright borders of blue.
My companions, trading and buying and training,
Calm because of me, life-sustaining.
But could I break to them the truth?
That the future would be very uncouth.
I don’t know. What can I say?
Can I reveal that very dark day?
No! I can’t do this to my friends!
We’d never be able to make amends!
But what do I do?
What CAN I do?
