The Secret Garden Poem by Amanda Kandegoda

The Secret Garden

Hidden, there is a place, you see
That no one thought
Would be found by me
It is the secret garden
A lovely place to be

Just enter through the rusted gate
You won't feel lonely
You won't need a mate
The garden is enough to keep you company
Come soon, it'll never be too late

Then you will hear the busy, buzzing bees
The chirping of the colorful birds
The whisper of the soft breeze
Oh, it's wonderful peace

You can smell the sweet rose
The crisp white jasmine
All into your nose
The violet lavender
It's the perfect time to have a dose

If you are quiet, you may touch the nimble rabbit
As it nibbles at the emerald grass
You see, it's their habit
You can stroke the tiny squirrel
But you must be quick to grab it

Visit this enchanting place
Taste the fruits
Wander through the silvery haze
I know you'll love it
It will leave you in a daze...
