The Secret World Of Men Poem by Kirby Wright

The Secret World Of Men

Rating: 5.0

You lost me
As a friend
When you farted
In the neighboring urinal
At the Mandarin House
Without an apology
On my birthday
When I picked up
The check.
Did I find you
Blowing wind
Uncouth? Disrespectful?
Or was I realizing
You were human
After all, that you
Let secrets escape
In public places
On special occasions
With hardly
A care in the world.
