The tall, mysterious figure had no face.
The seeker wanted to know more
And asked,
"Gentle spirit, show me the truth.
It is the truth I seek, and only the truth."
The figure answered.
"That which you seek has and always will be hidden from your
view.
There is only seeming.
And in the seeming a kind of wisdom.
But if you must know more…"
A door appeared.
The seeker hesitantly reached for the knob and
Opened it.
He looked back at the figure.
The figure nodded.
With one last breath, he filled his lungs
Stepped over the threshold
And died.
