The Selfish Act Of Man Poem by Sheldon Carruthers

The Selfish Act Of Man

War is the selfish act of man that man wish he were a boy not a man
War is a folly like a child throwing his toys out of his pram
It is ignorance of Truth and Love
It is a hateful heart that chooses to war and not to love

War he spans the centuries
but Peace will have her day
for war is just the half of it then there's equal pay
War is a bottomless pit where money disappears
which could be better spent on hospitals and care of the elderly here here
It is the fear of the other and ingnorance of what we share
It is the uncaring attitudes of politicians that we all should most fear
that war is here like an unwanted guest is qiute detestable I should jest but we cannot save the planet by shooting bullets at each others heads
