The Serenade (She Sings An Alleluia) Poem by Steve Que

The Serenade (She Sings An Alleluia)

Standing there
Watching her
Only her
Cannot take my eyes away for a single glance
For I have witnessed a beautiful event

A beautiful tune sung by an even beautiful singer
Compatibility at its finest
The perfect pair
Yet she and I are not
But I cannot help adore one as such
Words can express so much
Yet they are kept still within my mouth

She has a radiant glow that even the blind see
A personality that is all but unlikeable
A smile that makes the world go round

Words of a friend “ She is the girl of my dreams”
I have never said these words
Yet I have long to think otherwise

So she stands there and sings
Sings beautifully
Mesmerizing me with every second that my eyes and ears attend to
The melody is not directed towards any being, but to a God
The God
And to this God I pray
That one day
I will hold the hand of the one who sings the serenade
