The Shape Of Life Poem by Michael Cochrane

The Shape Of Life

There are days when you carry life like a heavy stone, others when it opens like a flower after rain.
The sea forgets each wave, and makes another, the earth receives a fallen leaf, like the trees we have roots that reach out for the light.
The seasons come and go our footsteps are covered with time and the only thing we can leave in this world is love.
