The Silhouette Poem by David Boyce

The Silhouette

The silhouette

I seen a silhouette standing there,
In front of the brightest light,
It really confused me,
Because it was the dead of night.

I heard the figure speak to me,
And called me by my name,
I recognised the voice clearly,
It was definitely the same.

Although I couldn't see the face,
It was a person who I love,
But sadly we had lost them,
To the heavens up above.

Even though it was a silhouette,
But I couldn't see them clearly,
I'm glad they came to visit me,
Because I love them dearly.
