The Sins Poem by Devansh Chaturvedi

The Sins

Rating: 5.0

I am a warrior
Or do I just feel like one
I've won many battles
But I never fought one

There are scars on my chest
Though no sword ever touched me
I can run at a fast pace
And no road ever turned me

I have been punished bu the king
For the positiveness I lack
But why should I kill someone
By piercing their back

The world understands war as expansion
But expansion doesn't deserves life
So with a stone on my heart I have to fight
Because I can't leave my family to strive

Battle for existence has to go on. Basic needs of life are to be fulfilled. Sometimes, this amounts to fighting a war come what may. Thanks for sharing this poem which stems from our day to day life. Thanks.
