The Sky Poem by Kay Bressner

The Sky

I am the turquoise blue sky
who welcomes birds,
orange butterflies

I complement the trees,
the red and yellow
croton leaves

The clouds,
my children,
play hide & seek

Until when
Father declares,
'time for sleep.'

I fell in love with the imagry and the metaphors of this poem. It tells so much yet leaves so much a mystery.
