The Sky I Saw Poem by Precious Omokehinde

The Sky I Saw

The Sky I Saw ☁️☁️ By Teejay Inkheart

The sky I saw was a vast blue map,
And she walked beneath it,
Walking away, yet somehow walking towards.
Leaving the heavy ground behind,
But stepping softly into the open air.

The sky I saw was bright,
Blue dangled with white lantern clouds,
Though scattered and loose.
Was it hope or an exhale of relief?
She couldn't tell.

The sky I saw was so beautiful,
Heavy with humid air.
She walked through the wind.
The wind didn't push, it only sighed,
And breathed a gentle rhythm.

The sky I saw was endless,
'Keep going' it whispered,
'You don't need to see the whole path, '
it said in pure blue with white accent
'You'll figure it out' and she kept moving.

The sky I saw was free.
The clouds wandered just like her footsteps.
She walked towards the light,
Taking one step at a time.
Under the sky she saw...! ...¡! ¡
