The Smile You Give Me ≪3 Poem by Butler Nicholas

The Smile You Give Me ≪3

You make me smile
Through the pain from far away
Though in a heartbeat I'd walk every mile
You make me wait every day

Until we're together
In each others arms
Snuggled up through cold weather
Waiting for summer's charms

Though for now I fear
I'm without you in my grasp
But, my Sweetheart, my Keeper, my Dear
The one who's smile undoes my hearts clasp

Holding that beautiful key
If you look inside I know you'll glance
All the love inside of me
I fill with joy and wish to dance

Making me smile and look at my feet
Making me happier than ever
Causing people to stop and stare in the street
Though there is one fear I must untether

From my mind it flows on this page
For all to read and understand
The keypad and monitor my stage
I profess this one thing to the land

From such a distance
I smile at the memories we share
There will be no hindrance
In my grinning loving stare

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is for my sweet girlfriend 500 miles away, the thought of you makes me smile, and when we're together I promise I'm not gunna stop grinning like an idiot because you make me happier than anything ever has, and my face will hurt like heck from all the smiling I won't be able to stop. I love you my Keeper
